Are you planning to stream from your gaming machine to the Pi, or are you planning on loading up an emulator for an old console?įor movies, Kodi is a great option if you want to play content from local storage, and no, the Pi 4 doesn't have a Type-C connector for Data, it only powers off of a Type-C. There were some bigger changes to the hardware on the Pi 4, so it could be a matter of waiting for Valve to update the app to be more stable on the Pi 4, but having not experienced it, I would say YMMV.

As several have mentioned, there are plenty of options, and the Steam Link app has worked pretty well for me, though I have the dedicated Steam Link hardware as well, so I generally use that.
